REN GRAB & GO KIT

Ren is one of my favourite Skincare brands, along with Origins. The Ren Grab & Go Set has been on my wish list for a while now as I think it's such a great idea. I always try and take minis away with me on holidays or weekends away, so this set is perfect for that in mind or you could even pop this in your gym bag! This set contains all the basic skincare you could need and it's pointless travelling with bigger sized products that you just won't use. The set includes; Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel 50ml, Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream 15ml, a full-size Vita Mineral Lip Balm 15ml, Vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel 3ml, Oat & Bay Conditioning Shampoo 50ml, Pro-Vitamin Conditioner 50ml, Neroli & Grapefruit Body Wash 50ml and Neroli & Grapefruit Body Cream 50ml. The kit also contains an airport security recommended bag, so you could chuck this set into your hand luggage and be good to go as everything in the kit is under 100ml. Some of my favourite products include the cleansing gel and the eye gel, which I have used before. I like the convenience of this kit, it means I can use up the Ren products currently in the set and replace what I use with extra minis. I haven’t tried the shampoo, conditioner, body wash or body lotion before from Ren, so I’m looking forward to giving them a go. I know my face likes the skincare, so I know I will get along with those products just fine. The set includes their most popular products for the face and body and it is also a great kit to try the products before you commit to buying the full-size. The Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel removes make-up, oils, dirt and pollution without the stripping effects of sulfates. The Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream is a multi-active day cream that replenishes the skin with moisture and vital nutrients. The Vita Mineral Lip Balm is a rich balm formulated to replenish dry and chapped lips. The Vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel is light and cooling to treat, revive and brighten the delicate eye area. 
I ended up purchasing this set from Look Fantastic which is currently selling this kit at £20.00. The value of the set is £38.00, so that is a massive saving and saves me purchasing all my minis separately. I managed to purchase it for £17.00 as you can always find some sort of discount code online. There is also another variation of the set, which is called the Grab and Fly Kit. This set includes, Evercalm Cleansing Milk 25ml, Evercalm Day Cream 15ml, a full-size Lip Balm 15ml, Vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel, Shampoo 50ml, Conditioner 50ml, Revivo Tonic Body Wash 50ml and Revivio Tonic Body Cream 50ml. The Ren Grab and Go Kit is the perfect lazy girls travel companion and I will definitely be taking mine with me the next time I go away!

WOMEN'S HEALTH BIRCHBOX - JANUARY 2015

This month Birchbox have teamed up with Women’s Health to create a box specially designed for the New Year. I have tried to up my game in the fitness department recently, so this was a perfect box to receive through my door in January. The box brings both products and content that will help start the year with your best foot forward. I have to admit this is probably one of my favourite collaborations recently, I think they have got the products and the box design/content spot on!

Activbod Cooling Finish Lotion, full-size 100ml £12.00 – This isn't a brand I have heard of before, but I have seen that they are now available in Boots. This product is designed to cool you down after your workout, it’s packed with menthol so it instantly delivers a cooling sensation to the skin. The formula also contains Vitamin E which helps to moisturise as well as repair dry skin. The scent is really nice and uplifting, it contains zesty pepper, eucalyptus and lemon which is reinvigorating as well. I really like products like this to use after going to the gym, I use a similar one from Nip and Fab and mainly like to use it on my legs to relax the muscles.

Healgel Intensive, full-size 30ml £37.50 – I have wanted to try something from this brand for ages, it’s always appealed to me but the price has always held be back. Healgel products are created by a team of leading British plastic and cosmetic surgeons. Healgel Intensive is a multipurpose, skin rescue gel. It contains, organic silicone, collagen-boosting hexapeptides and arnica restore and protects your skin in areas where it’s most needed. I found the cream to be really lightweight, cooling and absorbed quickly into my skin. It can also be used as a make-up primer.

Philip Kingsley Body Building Conditioner, full-size 250ml £19.00 – I am a big fan of Philip Kingsley hair care. This conditioner is enhanced with Keratin proteins and natural cellulose which is used to improve the hair’s strength and condition as well as thickening the appearance of every strand. I really like to receive hair mini's in beauty boxes, this formula is perfect for adding volume and shine to flyaway locks.

Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, full-size 50ml £30.00 – I have received so many minis of this that I have never had to buy the full-size of it yet. I love Ren skincare and their masks are some of my favourite! This mask is designed to get rid of dead skin cells to renew the complexion and remove impurities. It contains natural fruit extracts and papaya extracts help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and smooth the skin’s surface. I like to leave this mask on for ten minutes and wipe away with a damp cloth, it’s nice to use as a mid-week pick me up!

Stila Lip Glaze, 2.4ml £15.00 – I don't think I have tried a product from Stila which I haven't liked. I really like that we received a full-size lip product. I’m not a big fan of the twist click pen applicator as I don't find it very easy to apply and end up using too much product, plus it’s not very hygienic. I received the shade Gleam, which is a sparkly pink toned hue which applies sheer for a wash of colour on the lips. The lip glazes also contains Vitamin A, C and E which keeps lips from drying out.

The lifestyle product that came with the box was an exclusive bright pink pilates resistance band, which also came with tips and exercises on how to use it. I have really enjoyed incorporating this into my current exercise routine, it's perfect for toning, improving your strength and muscle endurance. The box also offered us an exclusive subscription offer! It didn't make me want to subscribe to Women’s Health, but it certainly made me go and buy the current magazine. We also received a sachet of Embrace Matcha Green Tea which contains 10 times the antioxidants of regular green tea, I'm looking forward to trying it!

PERFECT PAMPER PRODUCTS - BATH TIME

My favourite way to pamper myself is to take a bubble bath after a busy day. So I light a few candles, use a bath bomb or bath melt and read my kindle or a magazine. I find this the perfect way to relax and have a bit of me time. I am currently reading Pieces of You By Ella Harper on my kindle - really enjoying it so far. My candle of choice is the Champneys Mediterranean Bliss which makes you feel like your at a spa, when actually your in the comfort of your own home. I also love these cute Bath Mallows and Bath Tulips from Bomb Cosmetics.
The Body Shop Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt, 300ml £8.00 - I take more baths than showers and this product helps to enhance that experience. I love that the product comes in a tub rather than a bottle. It does mean you have to scoop the product out though, making you use more of the product than you actually need. The scent is heavenly and the formula creates so many bubbles which moisturise my skin at the same time. This has to be one of my favourite products from the Honeymania range, it's so luxurious, creamy and has a rich floral scent. This helps me relax and leaves my skin feeling super soft.
Aromatherapy Associates Revive Evening Bath Oil, 55ml £40.00 - When I don't want so many bubbles but still want the relaxing scent I like to use a bath oil. I only like to use this on special pamper evenings when I've got time to enjoy the product. You only have to use a tiny amount but the scent fills the whole room. This is a treat product but it re-energises your body and a little goes a long way.
Ren ClearCalm 3 Clarity Restoring Mask, 50ml £30.00 - This is a product which I like to apply while I'm in the bath. This is great for clearing up blemish prone skin. I like to cleanse skin, apply this and leave it on for 15 minutes. I like to use this once a week when my skin is feeling more congested. It soothes, calms, reduces the size of pores and gets rid of redness. It's great if you have oily or combination skin, the formula is thick and creamy and you can see a difference instantly. I recommend Ren products to anyone.
Rituals Sweet Orange & Cedar Fortune Scrub, 150ml £10.00 - I got this product free with a magazine a while ago and instantly fell in love with the uplifting scent. It's a lovely product to use on legs for silky smooth skin. The formulation is a scrub and cream in one, so it's not harsh on the skin and it moisturises at the same time. I would definitely try a different scent when this one runs out.
Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body Butter, 300ml £10.00 - I have loved orange scented products recently. I just used up the body wash from the same line and couldn't get enough of the scent. The formula is thick and creamy and contains orange beads which melt into the skin. This is a great product to use on dry skin and perfect for the colder months coming. The fresh scent lingers around for hours on the skin, I like to apply this straight out of the bath in the evening. Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream, 125ml £5.50 - Another Soap & Glory product which I love. I have gone through so many tubes of this, the product is so effective. When my feet are in need of some love I like to apply this before I go to sleep and I wake up with super soft feet. If my feet are feeling dry or worn out I apply socks over the cream for a more intense treat.

Elle Magazine recently teamed up with Ren Skincare on Facebook to give a 100 people the chance to try the new Flash Rinse One Minute Facial. I was one of the lucky people to receive a 15ml sample before the release date. Ren Skincare has to be one of my favourite skincare brands alongside Origins. Every product I have tried from Ren I have enjoyed and got on with. I was very excited to hear about their new product as it sounded like a miracle in a tube. Elle Magazine has said its 2014’s best skincare innovation.

I used the sample as soon as I received it through the post. There are not many products I can say instantly work, but I was so eager to buy the full-size straight away. Sampling really does work! You use the product every 3 days by massaging onto dry skin and then adding water, massaging more, leaving for one minute and then wiping off. The formulation is unusual, it’s a green, gritty paste which acts like an exfoliator and treatment to leave skin feeling super soft and glowing. It delivers a potent shot of water activated fresh vitamin c. Skin is instantly brighter, radiant and firmer to give you the results of a spa facial at home. Who wouldn't want results like that? I have continued to use this product every three days and have seen the same instant results each time. But I must admit I don’t want my skin to rely on it too much. The treatment instantly revitalises and visibly rejuvenates the skin. It also reduces the appearance of lines, imperfections and photo-ageing, evens out skin tone and firms.

When the product came out last week, I bought it from the online store. Priced at £32.00 for 75ml it is a treat, but it is definitely a product I always want to have on the go, in my stash. At the time there was also a promotion code, which meant I also received deluxe samples of the Rosa Centifolia Micellar Water which I have tried before and the Satin Perfection BB Cream.
