LUSH CHRISTMAS - STAR DUST BATH BOMB

I love trying new bath products from Lush, I’m always excited about new arrivals and have to try them out at least once. There are so many products I am yet to try! Star Dust is a new bath bomb this Christmas, it may look quite simple from the outside but I was eager to see what this one did in the bath. Star Dust is shaped like a star and reminds me of the silver glitter bath melt from other years, which hasn't come back this year. I must admit I picked up this one because of the cute shape, but it also reminds me of Butterball which is one of my favourites.
I was quite disappointed on how quickly this bath bomb dissolved, it wasn’t around for very long. I’m not sure if this was to do with having the water too hot, (as it was warmer than usual) but it was over so fast. Once the bath bomb touched the water the bath bomb started to turn the water an ice blue colour, with a layer of white foam over the top of the water which looked just like snow. Then the best bit was lots of multi-coloured stars coming to the surface, which filled the bath with confetti. These little stars were moisturising on my skin and I liked the way they looked pretty in the bath.
The bath bomb has a very simple scent. It contains sweet Fair Trade Ugandan Vanilla and Rosewood oil. As well as Bergamot oil to uplift and cleanse your body and mind. I really liked the fragrance of this one it wasn’t too much, just enough to fragrance and comfort the skin. The oils definitely softened my skin. Lush say on their website that this would be a great one to pamper yourself with after a Christmas party. I can also imagine children liking this one, they would be amazed by the tiny stars appearing out of nowhere and the scent is gentle enough for their skin.
This bath bomb is priced at £2.95, which is a little cheaper than your average Lush bath bomb. But I think the price is reflected on how long it lasts in the bath. I would be interested in trying it again, but I don’t think it’s my favourite Christmas bath bomb.

LUSH YOGA BOMB BATH BOMB

I get round to using a Lush bath bomb about once a week, so at the weekend I brought out a bath bomb I hadn’t tried before the Yoga Bomb which is a newish product and first released in the Oxford Street store. This bath product is bright orange in colour on the outside and is your basic round shape, nothing amazing from the outside. This bath bomb lasts a little longer than your average bath bomb, because of its name it slowly fizzes around your bath and takes about 20 minutes to melt completely and you are left with golden coloured water. After all the orange shade has filled your bath you discover a white, turquoise and purple layer underneath. The formula contains sandalwood oil to sooth the skin and I have to say my skin felt lovely and silky during and after my bath. The bomb is also packed with tonnes of gold glitter, so much I could actually see the sparkles on my skin afterwards, but I don’t mind that. The formula also contains oilbanum and ho wood which relaxes you as well as fragrance the whole room. I like the mix of the woody and floral scents, it’s the kind of fragrance I would wear in a perfume. It’s definitely a nice one to use if you know you’ve got a while to spend time in the bathroom or after you exercise to ease your muscles, it’s comforting as well as being uplifting at the same time. My inside layer didn’t seem to give off as much colour as the one demoed on the website, I think because there is so much orange, the other colours didn’t show up as much. I would definitely say this bath bomb is worth the price tag at £3.95 as it stays around for so long. It certainly looks like an average bath bomb from the outside, but sometimes it’s those kinds of products which are the best, I surely will be buying this one again!
I’m very excited about the release of the new Seasonal collection at Oxford Street last week, which will be rolling out to all stores from Friday. I’m off to London this weekend, so maybe will have to take a little trip to Lush and pick some new things up.

LUSH BUBBLE BAR - POP IN THE BATH NEW FORMULA

I really enjoyed capturing my bath bomb last time so I thought I would try it again, this time with a bubble bar. Another product from Lush which I haven't tried before, Pop In the Bath Bubble Bar is a new formulation of the original bestseller. I like using bubble bars as you can split them into how many baths you want, reusing them again and again. I love the contrast between the bright blue and pink, it’s a simple design with the flower but they look great piled up high in store. I picked this one up from the Oxford Street store last month. You can break a piece off and crumble it under running water or use as much as you like to create more bubbles. I think using half the bubble bar creates enough bubbles for a pamper bath, but if it was just a regular bath time I would probably use quarter of the bar. The scent is zesty and floral and contains the ingredients, bergamot, lemon, mandarin oil and orange flower absolute, it reminds me of the Olive Branch shower gel. I really like the scent it’s uplifting and really refreshing, it reminds me of summer. The water feels so moisturising and very comforting. The water turns a turquoise colour, I think the colour is a lot more vivid than the old formula. The bubbles were still there once the water was drained out which was good as some bubble bars don't last as long as others. I think this is a great one to try if you haven't used a bubble bar before. It’s priced at £3.25 which I think is fair for the amount of baths you can get out of it.

LUSH OXFORD STREET EXCULSIVE - INTERGALACTIC BATH BOMB

I did a blog post last month about the products my sister managed to pick up for me from Lush on Oxford Street. I haven't managed to get to Lush Oxford Street myself as yet, but last weekend she kindly brought me back the Intergalactic Bath Bomb. I thought I would take photos of the bath bomb in action as it's a new and exclusive product to Oxford Street. I adore the look of this bath bomb, I love the shade of blue! It reminds me of a planet with the pink, white and yellow colours going all the way around it. Intergalactic is obviously themed around space and has a peppermint scent which is unlike any bath bomb I've tried before. I really like the scent, it's refreshing and awakening, but I can imagine it's not for everyone. It also contains cedarwood and vertivert oil so my skin was left feeling so soft when I got out the tub. As soon as I dropped it into the bath the water turned this deep blue shade, the lighter blue started fizzing out and all the other colours came out too. Whilst the bath bomb was spinning around my bath I started to hear a popping, crackling sound and realised it had popping candy inside. It took a good ten minutes for the whole bath bomb to dissolve, which I think is quite lengthy for a bath bomb. It definitely looked like space when it had covered the whole bath. Once I had got into the bath I could see that the deep blue water had masses of gold glitter in which just looked gorgeous. When I got out of the bath some of the glitter was left on my skin which looked lovely, but I wasn't covered in glitter which was good. This bath bomb is priced at £3.50, which is a little bit more than your average bath bomb, but so worth it for the bath experience. I will definitely be picking up this one again!

LUSH OXFORD STREET HAUL

When I heard a new Lush Store was opening on Oxford Street I was very excited to see sneak peeks of all the new, exclusive products all over instagram and twitter. As I hadn’t got any plans to visit London, my sister kindly managed to get me a couple of products that were on my wish list. It was also nice for her to pick for me, so I didn't know what I was getting. My Sister picked well as she chose the three most interesting products on my list. The product I was most excited to try was the Pink Flamingo Reusable Bubble Bar. This pink and orange flamingo shape on a stick is similar to past bubble bars like the Magic Wand, Bubble Beard and Drummers Drumming where you wave it under the tap or in your bath water to create bubbles. I love how cute this looks, it’s so girly and it been cocktail inspired so it smells really sweet. It's filled with fragrant Rosewood and Ylang Ylang, so it's really relaxing as well. The bubble bar is quite pricey at £5.95, but you do get value for money as this can be used over and over again. The bubble bar creates lots of bubbles and turns the water a lovely shade of pink.
Harriet also picked out for me the Sacred Lotus Bath Bomb. I wanted this one as it looked so unique to anything else I've tried from Lush. It looks just like a flower with a yellow centre and purple petals around the side, this one is priced at £3.50. I really like how this bath bomb floats across the top of the water. It’s main ingredients are Neroli and Jasmine and certainly helps to uplift my mood. This bath bomb fizzes and creates white and purple foam. I really like the sweet, floral scent of this bath bomb. Sacred Lotus left my skin really moisturised and I got out feeling comforted. I'm surprised this managed to stay in one piece, as it's really delicate.
The last product is The Experimenter Bath Bomb which is so unusual. This multi-coloured hexagon was one of the first new products I saw via Instagram and knew I had to try it. It has a combination of colours including; pink, blue, purple, white and gold and the scent just reminds me of bonfire night! It’s main ingredients is Vetivert Oil and creates a smoky aroma. It also contains Tonka and Vanilla Absolute which brings sweetness to the bath. This bath bomb creates amazing colours in the water and quickly turns to every corner. The Experimenter also contains popping candy which you can hear as the bath bomb turns. This bath bomb is priced at £3.75 which I think is good for the size of the bath bomb.
I can't wait to experience the Lush Oxford Street store for myself when I next go down to London and hopefully I will pick up some more treats on my wish list. I'm also really excited to try the Frozen bath bomb, the Yoga Bomb bath bomb and the Intergalactic bath bomb. I also want to try other products from Lush as I always tend to go for bath bombs and bubble bars, I have seen that they have started doing candles! *books train tickets*
